Regular activity improves mood, fights chronic disease, helps manage weight, raises energy, improves sleep, and can be enjoyable. For people with diabetes, it’s a daily lever to lower glucose and improve insulin sensitivity.
Start small, build up
- Begin with 10–15 minutes and add time as you adapt.
- Mix walking, biking, swimming, and light strength work.
- Aim for 30 minutes most days, broken into chunks if needed.
